In case you missed grabbing a copy on @angelodeaug

In case you missed grabbing a copy on @angelodeaugustine’s recent tour dates, you can still order a limited edition VHS of short film ‘Can I Come Back To Earth?’ featuring packaging designed by Angelo De Augustine.

Directed by Ramez Silyan (@getmezzy), the short film includes a live recording of “Empty Shell” from ‘Angel in Plainclothes,’ as featured in this clip, alongside an original score recorded and produced by De Augustine.

“I wanted to make a document of where I am now and an acknowledgement of the years of suffering I have endured,” explains De Augustine. “In my life I oscillate between guarding privacy and wanting to share things I have made. This little film feels like the right sized window—small enough for a glance, but large enough to leave behind, showing that at one time I existed on the earth.”

Available to purchase on Angelo’s website.

In @crackmagazine’s latest installment of ‘Pay It Forward,’ Aoife Anson-O’Connell of @westsidecowboyyy reflects on discovering @sufjan through the ‘Call Me by Your Name’ soundtrack, the arrangements that reshaped how she thinks about orchestration, and the creative freedom running through albums as different as ‘Carrie & Lowell’ and ‘The Age of Adz’.

“Sufjan Stevens is a brilliant example of the lawless world of creativity.”
