Half-handed Cloud Shares New Single and Rotoscopic Music Video for “What? Where You Going?”
“What? Where You Going?” is the second single from Half-handed Cloud’s upcoming LP, Toothpaste Horse, out June 18th on Asthmatic Kitty Records. The track arrives alongside a hand-drawn rotoscopic animation music video by John Ringhofer.
A playful ode to the universal parenting chase — that moment when you’re trying to tie shoes, brush teeth, or braid hair, and your kid has other ideas — the song captures the warmth and mild exasperation of “Hey, get back here! Where do you think you’re going?”
The single arrives ahead of Toothpaste Horse/I Don’t Have A Bib, 53 songs of lo-fi Portastudio children’s music pressed onto a single opaque fruit-punch colored LP. The record brings together the brand new Toothpaste Horse and 2018’s self-released I Don’t Have A Bib, now mastered for the first time, across 40 minutes of music. The package also includes an over three-foot-tall growth chart foldout poster, featuring Ringhofer’s illustrations of the album’s varied instrumentation.
